Introduction

Hey guys! I'm Tara, I'm 28 years old. I'm a wife to my amazing husband Travis, of almost 5 years. We have one little boy who will be 2 in October! (Where does time go!?)  I am a full time PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) in a long-term acute care setting (pretty physical & mentally exhausting, but totally rewarding each and every day) I have been a PTA for just over 5 years, and in the "therapy world" for 9 years. My husband is a DPT (Physical Therapist) so it's pretty interesting having that in common amongst many other things! Our little man keeps us busy. He LOVES to be outside, which is great, we do too! I love being outdoors working on our yard, playing in the water, and chasing our pups around. I also enjoy scrapbooking & I dabble in selling Jamberry nail wraps part-time. Lounging and catching up on good ole' lifetime movies, TLC shows, trashy t.v., all of that is good too...but usually leads to binge-eating! One of my most favorite things to do...is bake.

I LOVE to bake, which is one of my MAJOR weight loss downfalls. If I bake something, I HAVE to try it, which is okay...in moderation, which I have NO concept of. My favorite thing to make, is cupcakes. With home-made buttercream icing! Yum! BUT this isn't a baking blog, this is a "Get off your big butt, put down the fast food, put down the cupcake...and WORK out, LOSE weight, and GET healthy" blog!

SO, we have been trying this whole "21 day fix" mult times now. We stuck to it pretty well the first round. But then vacations happened, raises at work happened, we had a sitter, we had a bad day and needed a margarita, we were tired and didn't feel like cooking, a restaurant was having a sale...need I go on?!

The work outs are 30 minutes long, I sit on facebook, or browse pinterest for that long each night once the kiddo goes to bed, it's really NOT that hard to press play after he goes to bed. Get our work outs in, take showers & go to bed! NOT THAT HARD! BUT, we fell short, and shorter, and then gave up and went back to our old ways.

We are a great couple together, we support each other so much. But when we're "starving" mid-morning or mid-afternoon we're having a bad day, and one texts the other "chick fil a for lunch?" or "margaritas sound good" it's a negative influence! So we "vowed" to quit that!

SO, without further hesitation, I'm laying it out there ON the line!

Here's my stats: (In inches)
Chest: 42.25
R Arm: 14.25
L Arm: 14
Waist: 45
Hips: 47.25
R Thigh: 26.25
L Thigh: 26.50
Neck: 16.25
Weight : 217.0lbs

(Please excuse my messy bathroom...I managed to clean the entire house, minus the master bed & bath this weekend!)

I'm tired of my clothes fitting tight, I can't fit into pre-pregnancy shorts & summer is almost over...the 2nd summer my kid has been on this Earth. My arm's aren't as "tight" as they were when I was working out more consistently with the 21 day fix initially. My energy level has gone Ka-Put most days. And a positive? My hair's finally back down to my shoulders! YAY!

So, we meal prepped this evening, and will cook throughout the week as needed. Here's my meals for tomorrow (dinner not in the picture, prob doing stuffed bell peppers!)

We've got hummus for my 2 servings of veggies (carrots & cucumbers), grilled pork chop, brown rice, and squash for lunch (cheese to sprinkle on my brown rice!), my 5tsp of peanut butter in my orange container for easy storage/packing. 3 servings of fruit (2 watermelon & 1 pineapple), and a cliff bar (I treat it as 1 red/1yellow), and of course...my breakfast of champions, protein shake with 10oz water! And of course, the signature 31 bag my MIL gave me for my birthday many years ago! :)

Hope this blog will help me communicate, and hold me accountable. I was never very good at keeping a diary as a kid, haha...so we'll see!

Until next time...
Tara :)
